Molality can be defined as the "number of moles" of solute per kilogram quantity of a solvent. In other words, it is the concentration of the solute in a solution.

We also know that, the molecular weight of HCl is (1 + 35.5) = 36.5

So, the "number of moles" of solute =18.2536.5=0.5 mol

Molality=Number of moles of soluteMass of the solvent×1000

Molality=0.5500×1000=1m.

The molality of the solution is 1 m.
