Open in App
Solution

Area of the given triangle
= Half of the rectangle enclosing the given triangle

Area of the rectangle = 9 cm x 8 cm
= 72 sq.cm

Area of the triangle = Half of the 72 sq.cm
= 72 ÷ 2
= 36 sq.cm

Therefore,
Area of the square = 36 sq.cm
side x side = 36 sq.cm
side = 6 cm

Perimeter of the square = 4 x side
= 4 x 6 cm
= 24 cm
