The boiling point of a liquid increases with increase in pressure and decreases with decrease in pressure.
When we increase pressure, molecules come closer to each other i.e. the intermolecular distance decreases. Hence, molecules will require more energy to overcome this and therefore the boiling point of the liquid will increase.
