Given P1=40W,V1=220V l1=P1V1=40220=211A=0.18A
Also ⇒R1=V21P1=220×22040=1210Ω
Step 2:Current rating of second lamp
Given P2=100W,V2=220V ⇒l2=P2V2=100220=511A=0.45A
Also ⇒R2=V22P2=220×220100=484Ω
Step 3: Find total current in series combination
Let the current flowing through them be. I.
