Solution

Mutations are defined as sudden stable discontinuous and inheritable changes which appear in the organism due to the permanent change in the genotype. A genetic mutation normally alters information conveyed by a gene that alters the messages. Chromosomal mutation only alters the number of position of existing genes. They may involve modification in the morphology of chromosome for a change in the number of chromosomes. Sometimes a segment of chromosome break up and get lost. If the terminal segment of a chromosome is lost then it is known as a deficiency. Deficiency generally proves lethal.
