If this conductor is now connected to another isolated conductor by a conducting wire (at very large distance) of total charge $50\mu C$ and capacity $10\mu F$ then find out the heat dissipated during the process of charge distribution.

The heat dissipated is given as,

$H=\frac{1}{2}\left(\frac{C_1{C}_2}{C_1+C_2}\right){\left(V_1-V_2\right)}^2$

$=\frac{1}{2}\left(\frac{5\times 10}{5+10}\right){\left(\frac{30}{5}-\frac{50}{10}\right)}^2$

$=\frac{5}{3}\mu J$

Thus, the heat dissipated is $\frac{5}{3}\mu J$.
