When a star reaches a certain point in its life, it may explode and become a supernova. When it does this, it gives out energy in the form of waves which travel to the earth through space. Which of these could not be received from the star?
Sound waves
Sound waves cannot travel through the vacuum as they require some medium to propagate. But the electromagnetic radiations like Gamma rays, X rays and visible light do not require a medium to travel through space. So, here the answer is sound waves as they need some medium to propagate. Thus they could not be received from the star.
