When aaBBcc is crossed with AaBbCc then ratio of hybrid for all the three genes is

Open in App
Solution

According to the given question the gametes in the aaBBcc gene is aBc and aBc, and the gametes in AaBbCc will be ABC, Abc, aBC, and abc.

For calculating the hybrid ratio using Punnett’s square, a 3-trait square is used with 64 boxes. This produces 64 different combinations of the alleles.

A Phenotypic Ratio of 27 ABC: 9 ABc: 9 AbC: 9 aBC: 3 Abc: 3 aBc: 3 abC: 1 abc is formed and the genotypic ratio is 1:2:1.

Therefore, the ratio of hybrid for the three genes should be 1/8.
