When an object falls freely to the ground,its acceleration is constant.

Reason?

Solution

Acceleration due to gravity (g)=GMR2
G=Universal gravitational constant
M=mass of the planet
R=radius of the planet

With the help of the above equation, we can say acceleration due to gravity does not depend on the mass of the falling object. In other words when a body falls freely to the ground under the action of gravity. its velocity increases at the constant rate of 9.8m/s².
