Question

When the light hits a polishied surface then the light reflect back, then Lens are also polishied smoothly then why does it allow the light to pass through it,the lens should also reflect the light right?

Polished opaque object is needed.
(you may know there is an coating behind the mirror to make it reflecting )


Lens are transparent materials so they passes light through it.
