Dr Ambedkar founded Depressed Classes Association in 1930. Dr Ambedkar at the second Round Table Conference had a discussion with Gandhiji by demanding separate electorates for dalits. After a long discussion Gandhiji and Dr Ambedkar made an agreement that Depressed Classes will get reservation and the name of this agreement was The Poona Pact.
