When we close eyes & a bright light is ejected to our eyes we can still sense some light in the eyes. For example, after sleeping at the night, eyes sense the sunlight which makes us awake. Why does this happen?

Solution

It is the situation of 'no quick response of eye in the morning'.
When we are sleeping our eye is relaxing means all the parts of the eye are relaxing specially pupil that allow the entry of light, when we open our eyes under a bright sun our relaxed pupil take some time to adjust its size to allow the entry of such amount of light and our eyes are not able to respond quickly.
Also,
when the eyes are closed and looking at the back of the eyelids, a small amount of light penetrating the eyelids in the presence of light make us awake.
