Solution
When we are residing in a bright lighted room, the muscles of the iris contract and the pupil constricts.
Iris controls the amount of light entering the eye by changing the size of the pupil.
When we enter the dark room from the bright lighted room, we are blinded momentarily because the muscles of iris need some time to dilate the muscles of pupil, such that more light can enter which will result in easy visibility of the objects in dark room.
