Question

Where conditional reabsorption of Na ion and water takes in nephron?

Open in App
Solution

In nephron there are 3 ducts namely (pct..)(dct...)(ct...) 70-80% of electrolytes are reabsorbed in pct segment and all essential nutrients are absorbed in this .
water is also reabsorbed in this segment..
conditional reabsorption of sodium ions takes place in dct.. it is impermeable to water. it maintains sodium-potassium balance..
large amount of water could be reabsorbed from ct to produce concentrated urine
