The acid present in our stomach is HCl.

When there is an excess of acids formed then we get irritating sensations, vomiting, and a few similar problems with which the person doesn't feel comfortable.

So, for the cure we use antacids like milk of magnesia, sodium hydrogen carbonate, these neutralise the excess acidity in the stomach.
