Solution

The correct option is D Donor - O, recipient O
  • A person with blood group AB, is a universal recipient and can receive blood from person with any blood group. They have both A and B antigens but no antibodies.
  • Person with blood group A, can receive blood from another person with blood group either A or O. They have antigen A and antibody B.
  • Person with blood group B, can receive blood from anyone with either B or O blood group. They have antigen B and antibody A.
  • People with blood group O lacks antigens but has both A and B antibodies. They can donate blood to people having any other blood group, hence are called universal donors. But O group recipient can recieve blood only from an O group donor.
