Jaundice is a medical condition where yellowing of skin and eyes is observed. This condition arises due to impaired liver metabolism and the most common underlying cause of jaundice is Hepatitis which is a viral disease. AIDS is also a viral disease caused due to HIV. Malaria is caused by a protozoan called Plasmodium and female Anopheles mosquito acts as a vector. Thus, all these three diseases are communicable diseases.
Marasmus is a nutrient deficiency diseases. It occurs in children who lack enough carbohydrates, proteins and other nutrients in their diet. So, it is not a communicable disease.
