Which class of molecules is the most antigenic?
Proteins are known to be the most antigenic among all the biomolecules. Antigenicity is the property of a foreign material that can bind or interact with the B cell receptors or T cell receptors. The T cell receptor recognizes the linear amino acid chain or sequence which is known as epitope which is usually a long chain of amino acids, proteins or peptides. Heterogeneity in the structure is directly related to immunogenicity.
