Question

Which enzyme is present in the ribosome's larger subunit necessary for peptide bond formation?

Open in App
Solution

In the structure of the ribosome, two subunits are present. They are smaller subunit and larger subunit. In the larger subunit, an enzyme called peptidyl transferase is present. It is an aminoacyltransferase. It is the primary enzyme of the ribosome which forms the peptide bonds between adjacent amino acids using tRNAs during the translation process of protein biosynthesis.
