Solution

Interstitial fluid or Tissue fluid:

Extracellular fluid (ECF) has various types of components and the primary component is interstitial fluid, or tissue fluid, which surrounds the cells in the body.

  1. Tissue fluid when leaks out to the lymphatic vessels, is known as lymph.
  2. The lymph fluid surrounds the tissues and cells in the body.
  3. It is leaked out from capillaries in tissues and cells containing plasma, proteins, and WBCs.
  4. This fluid baths cells and tissues to exchange materials by tissues.
  5. It is formed by leaking out of capillaries at arteriole end by large hydrostatic pressure which forces to leak out some proteins, WBCs to tissues or lymph vessels.
