  1. The testicle's Leydig cells often referred to as interstitial cells of the testes are located next to the seminiferous tubules.

Luteinizing Hormone:

  1. LH hormone is also known as ICSH (interstitial cell-stimulating hormone).
  2. It is a gonadotrophic hormone released by the anterior pituitary gland.
  3. It stimulates the Leydig cells for the production of testosterone, a hormone required by the body to form sperm.
  4. The production of testosterone helps in the development of masculinity and the maintenance of the male reproductive system.
