Solution

The correct option is B The Reconquista
The most successful was that of the First Crusade or Reconquista (1096-1099). Led by Godfrey of Bouillon, Raymond of Saint-Gilles, Bohemond of Taranto and Hugh of Vermandois; four large Christian armies left the capital of the Byzantine Empire, Constantinople, in August 1096, on the way to the Holy Land. During the First Crusade, Christian knights from Europe capture Jerusalem after seven weeks of siege and begin massacring the city's Muslim and Jewish population. Hence, Option A is correct. Among the rest, the fourth Crusade failed because most of the crusaders who participated never reached Jerusalem or the Holy Land, the original goal of the crusade. Lasting only from May to September, the Children's Crusade lacked official sanction and ended in failure; none of the participants reached the Holy Land. On October 21, 1097, the People's Crusade failed as Muslim Turks defeated Christian European invaders in what is today northwestern Turkey. The Crusades were a series of conflicts in which Christians (mostly western Europeans) tried to take control of the Holy Land from Muslim leaders. Hence, these options are incorrect.
