Solution

Cloning:

Cloning is the process of generating a genetically identical copy of a cell or an organism. Cloning happens all the time in nature—for example when a cell replicates itself asexually without any genetic alteration or recombination.

Vectors:

  1. The DNA molecules that carry a foreign DNA segment and replicate inside the host cell are called vectors.
  2. They are also known as vehicle DNA.

Ti Plasmid:

  1. Ti Plasmid is applied as a cloning vector in plants.
  2. A segment of its DNA is called T-DNA.
  3. Ti-plasmid is cloned so that it is no longer pathogenic to plants.
