Solution
Uterus:
The female reproductive system's muscular uterus, also known as the womb, is situated between the bladder and the rectum.
It has the form of an inverted pear. When the fetus, or child, is prepared for delivery, it serves to support and shelter a fertilized egg.
It is made up of three layers.
A thin external membrane is perimetrium tissue, a thick layer of smooth muscle in the middle called the myometrium, and an inner epithelial layer called the endometrium.
The endometrium lines the uterine cavity.
During menstruation, the endometrium changes.
The endometrium is the region where implantation occurs. If there is no pregnancy, then endometrium is shed during periods.
Myometrium:
Myometriumshows contraction during the delivery of the baby.
