This is because his/her task includes coordinating different activities of the educational institution for the accomplishment of the common goals. He/she drafts various plans and policies. The principal of an institution performs almost the same functions as performed by top level managers in an organisation. Therefore, the principal of an educational institution is considered to be working at top level of management.
