Which method is used to separate sugar and water from its solution?
Simple distillation can be used to separate sugar and water from sugar solution.
During distillation the sugar solution is heated, due to which water vaporizes leaving the sugar behind. The water vapour is then passed through an inclined tube. It gets cooled due to the surrounding cold water and condenses to form water into a separate container. Thus, water and sugar are separated and collected in separate vessels.
