The sin auricular node present on the right wall of the right atrium is called pacemaker of the heart. Heart beats originate from S.H. node and spread throughout the heart.
If the pacemaker does not work properly stops working then heart becomes unable to pump appropriate amount of blood. In this life-threatening condition, an artificial pacemaker is fitted in the chest to main the rhythmic of the heart Therefore it is called life-saving apparatus.
