Size can be defined as a structural property (like degree of formalization) or a contextual variable (like demand). It's a property at the interface between internal structures and the environment.
The structure of a large organization, however, will not change much as the size of the organization increases, since the existing structure is already designed to accommodate a large number of people. So although the size of an organization affects the structure of an organization, it does so at a decreasing rate.
