The correct option is D Article 371 (2)
Earlier, Nagpur was the capital of the Central Province (CP) region of India. But when Vidarbha was separated from CP and annexed with the Bombay State in 1956, Nagpur became the only city in Independent India to lose its capital status. People of Vidarbha were angry with this decision. Hence, the leaders signed the Nagpur pact, as per which the Article 371 (2) of the Constitution was amended to ensure proper developmental measures for Nagpur. Thus, even today, the winter sessions of the Maharashtra State Assembly are held in Nagpur, to discuss the problems specific to Vidarbha region.
