Which of the following diagram correctly represents photosynthesis (X)?
Note:- X possess the properties of both the changes.
Chemical change:- It is a change in which the chemical composition of the substance changes because of the formation of a new substance.
Temporary change:- The changes that are not permanent and exist for a limited period of time are called temporary changes. In these changes, the original state of substance can be reattained.
Photosynthesis is a process by which plants manufacture their own food (glucose) and oxygen using carbon dioxide and water in the presence of sunlight and green pigment chlorophyll. As new substances are formed in this process so it is a chemical change but this manufacture of glucose and oxygen is not a permanent change and the original state of substance can be reattained (temporary change). Hence, photosynthesis is a chemical and temporary change.
