Compounds containing either $C{H}_3\stackrel{|}{C}HOH$ or $C{H}_3\stackrel{|}{C}=O$ group, on reaction with NaOH and $I_2$ form yellow coloured iodoform. This is called the iodoform test. Hence, $C_6{H}_{6}OH$ does not give the iodoform test.
