The Taj Mahal is situated in Agra. The industries located in and around Agra releases pollutant in the air.
These pollutants like sulphur dioxide and nitrogen dioxide react with the water vapour present in the atmosphere to form sulphuric acid and nitric acid. These acids get mixed with rain drop and fall on earth in form of acid rain. This acid rain is corroding the marble of Taj mahal turning it in yellow colour.
