Question

Which of the following is a luminous object?

Open in App
Solution

Objects which emit their own light are called luminous objects.
The Sun itself is a source of light, hence it is a luminous object as it emits its own light.
The Moon, Earth and Mars do not emit light by themselves, and are only visible due to the reflection of light from other sources of light. Therefore these are non-luminous objects.
