Which of the following is an objective of NEISA?
No use of fertilisers and pesticides
HEIA (High External Input Agriculture) involves the high use of fertilisers and pesticides. This method was criticised because of its effects on human health and was discarded. Limited use of fertilisers and pesticides was followed in a method called LEISA (Low External Input Sustainable Agriculture). This method allows the use of chemicals only under emergency conditions. No use of fertilisers and pesticides is the objective of the method NEISA (No External Input Sustainable Agriculture). Here the waste of one farming practice is used as the manure of another. So the NEISA is the most eco-friendly method that is followed in agriculture.
