As We Know,
Super octet molecules are those in which the central atom has more than 8 valence electrons in their outermost shell. Variation of the octet rule is observed in these compounds.
Like in the case of SF6, S has 12 electrons in its valence shell as it forms 6 bonds with F atoms.
Similarly, in the case of PCl5, P has 10 electrons in its valence shell as it forms 5 bonds with Cl atoms.
Similarly, in the case of IF7, I has 14 electrons in its valence shell as it forms 7 bonds with F atoms.
