Which of the following is/are the principle fluids of our body?
Blood
Lymph
Tissue fluid
Blood delivers necessary substances such as nutrients and oxygen to the cells and transports metabolic waste products away from the cells. Lymph is the fluid that circulates throughout the lymphatic system. Lymph is formed when the interstitial fluid (the fluid which lies in the interstices of all body tissues) is collected through lymph capillaries. The tissue fluid surrounds the body cells, facilitating the exchange of nutrients and waste materials. At the venous end of the capillaries, the tissue fluid is drawn into the capillaries by osmosis.
Sweat is a secretion of sweat glands and is not a major fluid of our body.
