Solution
The correct option is A Fly ash The exhaust of motor vehicles mainly consists of the hydrocarbons, oxides of carbon, oxides of sulphur, and oxides of nitrogen. The burning of the pulverised coal results in the release of fly ash also called the pulverised fuel ash which is made up of fine particles of burnt coal. Its main constituents are silica and aluminium. When released in the environment, it becomes an air pollutant and contributes to the particulate matter formation. However, the fly ash can be used as a construction material with cement. It imparts a great deal of strength to the concrete.
