The state of Hyderabad was formed in 1950 after the formation of the Republic of India. However, it was reorganised in 1956 where its Telangana region was included in Andhra State to form Andhra Pradesh. A part of it was merged with the Mysore state to form present-day Karnataka.and the remaining part was merged with the Bombay state which lies in present-day Maharashtra.
