Gibberellins are growth hormones that stimulate cell elongation and causes plants to grow taller. Gibberellins also have a role in other plant processes, such as stem elongation, initiate germination, flowering, and promote fruit growth, induces parthenocarpy and break seed dormancy. Different forms of gibberellins have been reported from different plants. These are named as GA1, GA2, GA3 and so on. GA3 is the most studied form among these.
