The separation of gases by diffusion method is possible only when there is a difference between molecular masses of gases.

The rate of diffusion of a gas is inversely proportional to the square root of its molecular mass. And, when two gases have almost equal mass, they also diffuse almost at the same rate.

In the first option, the gases NO+C2H6 have equal molecular mass (i.e., 30). Therefore, these can't be separated by the diffusion method.
