∙ All prokaryotic organisms are placed under kingdom Monera. The kingdom is divided into three major groups- archaebacteria, eubacteria and cyanobacteria.
∙ Archaebacteria are found in hot springs and they are the ancient form of bacteria.
∙ Eubacteria are also called true bacteria. Streptococcus, Rhizobium and E.coli fall under this group.
∙ Cyanobacteria is also known as blue green algae and contains chlorophyll.
