Solution

The correct option is C Cambrian
The first period of the Palaeozoic era is the Cambrian period (540 - 485 mya). In this period a wide variety of animals burst onto the evolutionary scene in an event known as the Cambrian explosion. Though this explosion was only confined to the sea, in perhaps as few as 10 million years, marine animals evolved most of the basic body forms that we observe in modern groups. Organisms evolved to attain movement and sensory abilities and ocean was dominated by Brachiopods. This period also witnessed the emergence of Echinoderms.
