Solution
The correct option is A Tongue receptors detect taste while nose receptors detect smell. Gustatory receptors present on the tongue detect taste while olfactory receptors present in the nose detect smell. The gustatory system consists of taste receptor cells in taste buds. Olfactory receptors are able to detect air-borne odour molecules that enter the nasal cavity and bind to olfactory receptors. Both are chemoreceptors which respond to chemicals.
