Solution

The correct option is C
Analyzing the options

Option (A)

Since the number of electrons ejected depends on the intensity of light, if the incident light has a frequency more than the threshold frequency. So, the graph in option (A) is correct.

Option (B)

The kinetic energy of electrons depends on frequency of the incident radiation. Hence if we plot a graph of KE of electrons versus intensity of light, we will get a parallel line to the intensity of light as shown in the option (b). So, option (B) is correct.

Option (C)

Kinetic energy depends upon two factors frequency as well as threshold frequency. Hence it is clear that it will be a straight line curve but with some intercept, it cannot be the one which directly passes through origin. Hene, the graph of the option (C) is incorrect.

Option (D)

Kinetic energy depends upon two factors frequency as well as the threshold frequency. Hence it is clear that it will be a straight line curve but with some intercept. Hene, the graph of the option (D) is correct.
