The correct option is B Plant A and C
Phloem translocates food from leaves to other parts of plants via the stem.
Depending on the position of leaves, phloem can translocate food in both upwards and downward direction.
In plant A and B, the leaves are on the upper side of the cut where phloem is removed. So food will be transported downwards and as the path gets blocked due to removal of phloem, swelling will be seen only on the top part of the cut. So, the image of plant A is correct while B is incorrect.
In plant C, leaves are present on both sides of the cut and hence transportation occurs in both upwards and downward direction that gets blocked by the cut. Hence, swelling is observed on both ends of the cut.
