1.A translucent object may produce of shadow.

2. But this shadow will be lighter than that of an opaque object.

3. This is because, the shadow formation is due to the reflection of light and as no light is received at the back, shadow is formed due to darkness, and in an opaque object no light penetrates but in translucent it does, so a lighter shadow.
