Kattabomman was humiliated by Collector Jackson.

Due to the treaty of 1781, Panchalmkurichi was required to pay revenue to the East India Company. However, in 1798 he fell behind by 3310 pagodas. So he sought the audience of Collector Jackson and was humiliated instead. He approached the Madras council and took this to court. Collector Jackson was dismissed after the verdict.
