a. In Chile a democratically elected government led by Salvador Allende was overthrown by a military coup led by General Pinochet in 1973 who then became the President of Chile.
b. Pinochet who the established military dictatorship deprived people of their political freedoms , not tolerating any dissent to his rule
c. His government certainly introduced number of economic reforms which were not beneficial for the common man and favoured foreign corporations, private players.
d. He introduced liberalisation policy and encouraged foreign loans

f. It did bring about growth in the country and stabilised inflation.

Pinochet's rule could not be questioned by anyone. Anybody who resented was ruthlessly dealt with, they were tortured and killed People were deprived of their political freedoms , military rulers did not tolerate any dissent to their rule.
