Why are accident at high speed is very much worse than accident at low speed?

This is becuase of the momentum. When a car or a vehicle moves in a slow speed its momentum is less due to which the damage is less but when a car or vehicle moves at a high speed then damage due to accident is very very large so it is adviced to drive cars at slow speeds to be in contol and prevent damge and if the damage occurs then the damage will be less
