Question

Why are animal proteins considered to be better than plant proteins?? only except answer

Open in App
Solution

Dear Student,

Animal’s proteins are considered as the better proteins than plant proteins because most plants contain proteins in lower levels. In a strictly herbivorous diet, too much of mix and match of different plants is required to get the variety of proteins and amino acids necessary for good health. For this reason it is advised to eat lots of green vegetables.
On the other hand, animal products contain different ratios of amino acids and higher concentrations of proteins than most plant products do.
But this does not mean that plants are not rich in proteins. There are a few high-protein plant products too, like tofu. Also this is to note that plant protein and animal proteins are not different in terms of what they are made of (amino acids).

It is not always true. There are two schools of thought in which one say they are superior and other says it is inferior. It depends upon the diet.
